Mlezi are a fictional sapient species created by Katherine Rodriguez on the website Mythical Creatures and Beasts.
Description[]
Mlezi are incarnated spirits who task themselves with protecting a given human their whole life long, mostly from other, less friendly supernatural creatures. Mlezi do so using energy weapons they create themselves. Mlezi always wear white and have onyx eyes, but otherwise look like humans, which leads to the existence of Mlezi born of one Mlezi parent and one human parent. Upon death, a Mlezi's spirit will remain behind to guard a forest or a specific tree, before eventually fading.
