Redcaps are small creatures presumably related to House-Elves, who differ for them by their red eyes, sharp nails, and trademark red cap. Redcaps traditionally dwell in places where human blood has been shed, such as dungeons, and will brutally assault anyone who wanders in their midst, though they present no danger to wizards. Redcaps think very highly of their appearance, and find traditionally "attractive" traits to be highly repulsive.
