Classic European Dragons, sometimes called European Dragons, Classic Dragons or Wurms, are a fictional species from Western folklore.


European Dragons are the classic form of dragons. They possess four crocodile-like legs, a pair of large bat-like wings giving them flight, a long pointed tale, and a reptilian head, usually horned. Their body is covered with scales. European Dragons usually walk on four legs when on the ground and are very large. They are predatory and can breathe fire, or, more rarely, poisonous gas. In recent media, European Dragons may be sapient and capable of speech, though that was extremely rare in classic folklore.
